Masala Chai
Serves 1.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp loose black tea - something strong, like Assam or Ceylon.
- 3 tsp sugar (or some honey)
- 1/2 tsp masala spices (some combination of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk
Method
- Bring saucepan of water to the boil.
- Add the tea.
- Boil for around 3 minutes.
- Add milk, sugar, and spices.
- Bring back to the boil.
- Strain and serve.
